All dance classes are required to wear a modest leotard(no drop backs or midriffs- spaghetti straps and acceptable but tanks straps or more sleave is preferred) with color of your choice, tights, or dance pants(as described for class), and appropriate footwear (as described for each class)
Creative dance/contemporary classes: These are BAREFOOT CLASSES, so tights will be footless or exercise/dance pants shorts that are mid-thigh or longer. Skirts or tutus are appropriate, but not required.
Ballet: ballet shoes, tights. Skirts or tutus are appropriate, but not required.
Jazz: ballet shoes or jazz shoes, tights or exercise/dance pants/shorts (mid thigh or longer)
Tap: tap shoes, socks or footed tights
Social dance: street clothes, no mark athletic shoes or comparable soft bottomed shoes.(for protection of the dance floor) No cowboy boots or similar heeled shoes.
For The Christmas Nativity Performance you will need to purchase the leotard, tights and shoes required for the showing according to your respective class. Most of the rest of the costume will be provided for your student for a small rental fee. ($3) ( This is additional to your costume fee for May recital listed below in the payment policy section.)
All music students should come in modest clothing to class. There will be movement in some of the classes. Children should come in comfortable clothing in which they can move easily. No clothes with holes especially ones that reveal underwear or parts that are in the underwear regions of the body. No midriffs, drop-back or low tee shirts. Shorts should be mid thigh length. Please have girls where shorts under skirts.
For performances, you will be required to purchase the appropriate costume base. Music students will be required to have a white polo shirt, black long pants for boys, black knee length skirts for girls.
