Studio and Payment Policies

Summer and Fall 2023

Parents may observe a trial class in studio. Parents must remain quiet, and not talk to their child during lessons or disturb the class in anyway. If parents are a distraction they will be asked to leave. All other times parents it is preferred that parents are in the parent cubby or outside watching under the patio. We will establish a closed circuit viewing room soon.
Playground use is permitted graciously by Traditions School. Parents MUST be there to supervise. NO use of equipment such as balls that belong to the School is permitted. The shed and its contends are off limits. Only small children (6 and under) are allowed on the swing set. YOUR CHILDREN PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK. Traditions School, Creative Arts Academy, and owners of the property will not be held liable or responsible for any injury or cost of treatment. You waive your right to make legal claims when you sign your registration form and release form for any member of your party.

All payments are due the first day of each month/semester/ year for classes, depending on your choice of payment plan.
We accept Zelle payments, cash, and checks (written to Creative Arts Academy) for summer 2023.
Starting fall 2023 we will require direct deposit for all students.
You must give a month’s notice for quitting lessons. You will be charged for lessons for a month after notice of termination, regardless of when you stop attending classes.
PAYMENTS ARE BY THE MONTH/SEMESTER, NOT BY THE LESSON. The amount of lessons may vary in respective months.

WE observe the holiday schedule of Magnolia School district for most holidays especially for classes which the majority of students are in that district. We also observe some breaks for Traditions Private School but not ones close to recital time. Each class will have its own break schedule communicated to the parents. We will strive to give at least one week of spring break for each class, but it will be decided class by class.
No refunds for missed classes. There will be periodic make up classes offered one Saturday a month but you must schedule that lesson with Miss Stephanie personally. Please talk personally to Miss Stephanie for EXCEPTIONAL circumstances. (Vacations do not qualify for exceptional circumstances)
If bad weather causes cancellation of class there will be no refund, but if possible we will reschedule a makeup class
Any missing of classes within a month of the recital may exclude your child from that recital. (sickness is an exception if not excessive)

All registration fees ($15 per music/dance student) must be paid in order for you to be officially registered, and are non-refundable.
Recital fee: (for both music and dance classes) $50 per family.
trial class fee is $10

For Dance, Costume fee: $60 per costume ( up to 2 costumes) $35 each additional costume DUE FEBRUARY 1ST 2024 (Non refundable after March 1, 2024)
Costume and recital fees for May recital will be due February 1, 2024. They are non-refundable after this date.
A late payment fee of $15 will be charged after the 2nd day of camps, and 7 days of monthly classes.

Dress code -Dance

Additional Information - Dance

All dance classes are required to wear a modest leotard(no drop backs or midriffs- spaghetti straps and acceptable but tanks straps or more sleave is preferred) with color of your choice, tights, or dance pants(as described for class), and appropriate footwear (as described for each class)

Creative dance/contemporary classes: These are BAREFOOT CLASSES, so tights will be footless or exercise/dance pants shorts that are mid-thigh or longer. Skirts or tutus are appropriate, but not required.

Ballet: ballet shoes, tights. Skirts or tutus are appropriate, but not required.

Jazz: ballet shoes or jazz shoes, tights or exercise/dance pants/shorts (mid thigh or longer)

Tap: tap shoes, socks or footed tights

Social dance: street clothes, no mark athletic shoes or comparable soft bottomed shoes.(for protection of the dance floor) No cowboy boots or similar heeled shoes.

For The Christmas Nativity Performance you will need to purchase the leotard, tights and shoes required for the showing according to your respective class. Most of the rest of the costume will be provided for your student for a small rental fee. ($3) ( This is additional to your costume fee for May recital listed below in the payment policy section.)

All music students should come in modest clothing to class. There will be movement in some of the classes. Children should come in comfortable clothing in which they can move easily. No clothes with holes especially ones that reveal underwear or parts that are in the underwear regions of the body. No midriffs, drop-back or low tee shirts. Shorts should be mid thigh length. Please have girls where shorts under skirts.
